Background

The current contract with National Pediatric Support Services, Inc. (NPSS) for management and operation of AQMD’s childcare center at the Diamond Bar headquarters facility expires June 30, 2000. This request is for authorization to issue an RFP to solicit proposals from interested parties in order to secure a new three-year contract. Since response to past RFPs has been limited, the assistance of a professional childcare expert has been obtained to review and make recommendations on the requirements firms must meet and to assist in evaluating proposals. In addition, more extensive outreach efforts will be made to attract responses from a larger pool of qualified childcare providers.
