Background
The District's Administrative Code Section 111 sets forth the criteria for payment of Board Member expenses and compensation pursuant to Health & Safety Code Section 40426. As currently written, the Code specifies circumstances that qualify as District business and are thus compensable. When a Board Member meets with a member of the public on a matter that is proposed for consideration, the guidelines are silent. This revision will clarify that such meetings constitute District business.
