PROPOSAL:
SYNOPSIS:
COMMITTEE:
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Barry R. Wallerstein, D.Env. Background The State of California periodically surpluses equipment that is of value to the AQMD. The State currently has available PM2.5 samplers that are the identical make and model as those used by the AQMD. In order for the AQMD to receive this equipment, the State requires that the AQMD apply for and receive "donee" status through the Federal Surplus Personal Property Program. The State further requires the Board to adopt a Resolution for such an application. The application will allow the AQMD to receive surplus property items directly from the federal government. Proposal Staff is requesting the Boards approval to receive surplus property from the State of California or the federal government. As part of the approval, staff is requesting the Boards approval of the attached Resolution. Resource Impacts The ability to receive useable equipment or equipment that is able to be used for parts for existing AQMD equipment represents a savings to the AQMD. The exact amount of savings will be dependent on the type and number of items available, requested and received. Attachment 1 - Resolution / / / |
