This item is to reappoint the directors of the Brain and Lung Tumor and Air Pollution Foundation for a two-year term.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Reappoint Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Councilman Hal Bernson, Supervisor James Silva, and Robert Davidson, President & CEO of Surface Protection Industries to the Foundation’s Board of Directors for a two-year term, effective April 1, 2005.

Background

At the April 4, 2003 Governing Board Meeting, the Board approved a general work plan for the Brain Tumor and Air Pollution Foundation. The work plan included the appointment of the initial directors for a two-year term. The directors appointed at the time were Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Supervisor Jim Silva, Councilman Hal Bernson, and Robert Davidson, President & CEO of Surface Protection Industries.

Proposal

This letter is to reappoint the following directors for a two-year term effective April 4, 2005:

Michael D. Antonovich, Chairman
Robert Davidson, Vice Chairman, and
Hal Bernson
James Silva
