PROPOSAL:

Set Public Hearings to Consider Amendments and/or Adoption to AQMD Rules and Regulations

January 6, 2006:

(A) Amend Rule 1107 - Coating Of Metal Parts And Products. The proposed amendment will add an exemption for the use of up to ten gallons per year per facility of liquid photoresist applied to metal substrates with a thickness of not more than 0.060 inches.

February 3, 2006:

(B) Adopt Proposed Rules 3501 – Recordkeeping for Locomotive Idling; and 3502 – Minimization of Emissions from Long Duration Idling. Proposed Rules 3501 and 3502 establish recordkeeping and idling requirements for diesel locomotives. The purpose of Proposed Rule 3501 is to record idling events to assist the AQMD in quantifying idling emissions. The purpose of Proposed Rule 3502 is to minimize emissions from continued idling of locomotives operated in the District. RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:

Set Public Hearings January 6, 2006 to amend Rule 1107 and February 3, 2006 to adopt Proposed Rules 3501 and 3502.
