PROPOSAL:

Approve Salary Adjustments for Executive Officer and District Counsel

SYNOPSIS:

The Personnel Committee recommends four percent salary adjustments, which is less than CPI, and consistent with adjustments provided management, confidential, professional, and technical and enforcement employees, for the Executive Officer and District Counsel, based on their Fiscal Year 2005-06 job performance.

Approve four percent salary adjustments for the Executive Officer and District Counsel effective July 3, 2006.

Background

The Personnel Committee meets annually to review Executive Officer and District Counsel performance and to recommend salary adjustments.

Proposal

The Personnel Committee recommends four-percent salary adjustments, which is less than CPI, and consistent with adjustments provided management, confidential, professional, and technical and enforcement employees, for both the Executive Officer and District Counsel.

Resource Impacts

The annual salary cost, for Fiscal Year 2006-07, of this recommendation is approximately $13,919.  Sufficient funds are available in the FY 2006-07 Budget.
