PROPOSAL:

Approve Salary Adjustments for Executive Officer and District Counsel

SYNOPSIS:

The Personnel Committee recommends the Executive Officer and District Counsel, based on their Fiscal Year 2006-07 job performance, receive the same CPI-based 3.8% salary adjustment provided management, confidential, professional, and technical and enforcement employees, effective July 2, 2007.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Approve CPI-based salary adjustments of 3.8% for the Executive Officer and District Counsel effective July 2, 2007.

Background

The Personnel Committee meets annually to review Executive Officer and District Counsel performance and to recommend salary adjustments.

Proposal

Based on the Board’s indication, as expressed in evaluations Board Members submitted to the Personnel Committee, that it is very pleased with the performance of the Executive Officer and District Counsel, the Personnel Committee recommends both receive the same CPI-based 3.8% salary adjustment provided management, confidential, professional, and technical and enforcement employees, effective July 2, 2007.

Resource Impacts

The annual salary cost, for FY 2007-08, of this recommendation is approximately $13,753. Sufficient funds are available in the approved FY 2007-08 Budget.
